Things to think about

Most definitely, but first you need to accept Jesus as your personal Saviour.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repentand be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Water can’t save you, only the perfect work of Christ on the cross can pay the price for sin.  Baptism is simply a picture of what God has done for you in defeating death and sin through the resurrection of His Son.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He saved us. Titus 2:15

Think of a wedding ring on a finger. Does wearing one make you married with all the rights and privileges of a married couple?

Not at all, rather it’s meant to show off that you are spoken for and testifies of your love for your spouse.  This is how scriptural baptism works.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith…

When we trust Christ for our salvation, we are accepting His payment for sin.  We are entering into His kingdom by clothing ourselves with His righteousness.

Zechariah 3:4b  …and unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Jesus established His church that we might have a refuge from the world and a place to find strength in His Spirit, unto the furtherance of the gospel.  Baptism after salvation is His way of uniting believers in a called out assembly to do the work of God.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

This “newness of life” works out in alignment with God’s plan for you individually, and as a member of the church body fitly framed together.

Judges 18:6 – Go in peace: before the Lord is your way wherein ye go.

We are an Independent New Testament Church, lifting up Christ, through the leading of his Holy Spirit.

But what does that mean?  It means we’re not here to cast a vision and then drive people to fulfill it.  Doing that does nothing more than clog up the vision, create tension and burn out members.

We let the Spirit of God grow you, guide you and compel you to serve.

We’ve created an approach to the ABC’s of serving… in reverse order.

We call it the C, B, A’s of serving!

Cast a Vision… Without a vision, the people perish.  It’s important that the Pastor know where God is leading the flock. ~Proverbs 29:18

Build an Infrastructure… Church leaders plan and prepare opportunities for service by organizing programs, documenting structure and training servants according to their God-given gifts.  ~Ephesians 4:16

Anticipate the Blessings… God promises to give us the desires of our hearts, when those desires align with His will. Given that His will is better for us than our own, it’s exciting to know that we can pray and expect great things when we abide in Him.  ~Psalm 37:3-5
