WHO WE ARE

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

BRIEF FROM HISTORY

In a church building that has been  standing on the promises of God in Okanogan for over 100 years,
we have seen the gospel light shine forth in this region for many decades.

The world around us has changed, but our message has not.

Christ is still the answer!

OUR VISION

Missionary Baptist Church is a place where a person with no church background can come and feel comfortable and enjoy the service because the atmosphere will be friendly. The sermons are always practical, biblical and relevant. The music is spirit-filled and traditional, because these are the hymns that refresh the soul and stir the heart.

These dreams are being fulfilled because they are inspired by God!

We are a church that nurtures the entire family, a church where kids want to go because they have a great time experiencing God’s love. A church that builds families.

OUR MISSION

Our mission statement can be summed up in one word: LOVE.

Love Up | Loving God:
Vertical reach to touch God. We love up through worship.

Love In | Serving Each Other:
Horizontal love to bless others. We serve God by serving each other.

Love Out | Changing The World:
Outward love can change the world. We have to be bold and courageous in loving others, by telling them the good news and saving grace of a loving God.

How We Operate

1.) Christ builds the church, so He is lifted up in all we say and do.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. ~John 12:32

2.) We grow spiritually through the preaching of God’s Word.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ~Romans 10:14

3.) We exercise our faith by administering God’s grace, through service to others.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. ~Matthew 25:40

4.) Prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, is how we receive God’s blessings.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:6-7

5.) By leaning on the promises of God, our relationship with him becomes real and tangible.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. ~John 15:7

6.) The holy scriptures are our foundation for faith and instruction.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16

7.) Through a leading of the Spirit, we strive to prepare and send out missionaries who are able to plant churches that perpetuate the gospel of Jesus Christ.

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ~Matthew 28:18-20

Meet our Pastor

Hello and welcome to our church website, I hope you’re finding what you came here for.

As Pastor, God has entrusted me to Feed His Sheep… a responsibility I do not take lightly.  Therefore I continually ask God to search my own heart while striving to teach others how to live in holiness and righteousness before him.

God’s presence in my own life has yielded miraculous results, the likes of which were never expected or deserved.  Rest assured, He has much in store for you as well. Praise the Lord, His plan is better than ours.

Our congregation believes if we are filled with knowledge but not love, then we are missing the point.  I couldn’t agree more!

I look forward to meeting and serving with you, in the family of God.
